An external assessment confirms amma's GDPR compliance

A GDPR Compliance Report from Thoropass confirms that amma has in place the policies, procedures and controls the regulation requires.

amma pregnancy tracker has designed and implemented the policies, procedures and controls required to maintain compliance with the articles and chapters of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a GDPR Compliance Report provided by the Thoropass platform confirms.

Since May 2018, the GDPR has imposed strict requirements on organisations to protect the privacy and security of data subjects in the European Union. It rests on seven protection and accountability principles: lawfulness, fairness and transparency; purpose limitation; data minimisation; accuracy; storage limitation; integrity and confidentiality; and accountability.

amma has cared about security and data privacy since its foundation. Because it operates in the EU, amma chose to have its practices assessed against the GDPR, even though such an assessment is not mandatory.

The assessment follows amma's SOC 2 Type I audit earlier in 2024. Next, amma expects to complete its most extensive audit yet, SOC 2 Type II, in the first quarter of 2025. Together, SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliance will give amma a solid base for its commitment to users' privacy and data security.
